SAFETY TIPS

Keep your dog safe

Choose a time of day that isn’t too busy.

Only take the number of dogs that you can watch and safely handle

Observe
Assess who is at the park before you enter

Walking into the park and unleashing your pet immediately can be quite overwhelming for your dog. Give him time to adjust.

Watch
K
eep a close eye on your dog at all times - you my know your dog but  you never know how other dogs will react.

Don't talk on the phone, get distracted talking, or read a book. It is important to know what your dog and others around him or her are doing every moment you are there.

Train your dog

Make sure your dog is under effective control at all times. Practice the recall. If you call their name they should immediately come back to you and reward them for doing so.

If you think your dog is stressed or uncomfortable, LEAVE - don't stay. Come back another day.
